What’s your biggest “target” area on your body? And how great would it feel if you not only knew how to tone and firm it, but also helped build your confidence while providing you with the best feeling in the world!
The feelings of FIT, STRONG and in SUPER SHAPE!
What that means is you train all aspects of your body and mind. Many fitness classes and fitness enthusiasts do tons of cardio, especially the slower and longer type, and few, sadly enough do strength training.
Now before I get to the whole body training, let me just explain the myth of “I’ll get bulky if I lift weights”.
Will Weight Training Make You Thicker And Bulkier?
When bodybuilders train, they use a high amount of sets to get muscle mass, and they also use a brief rest period in between sets as well.
They also poop a lot because they’re eating tons of food all day to grow the muscle. Then they trim down for competitions and beaches.
If you want to get bulky, you’ll need a workhorse of a toilet and plenty of toilet paper. I wonder if they factor in those squats into their daily program.
These two variables assist individuals in their goal to get bulky.
So, if you do few sets, say 3-4 and few reps. along with heavier weight and longer rest periods, you will become very strong, get firm and toned, and keep all that you have under the skin, healthy and young (which I think is priceless).
There will be no bulk, just a much more firm and toned body.
And the biggest reason why you should lift weights is this:
– You cannot improve and speed up your metabolism and convert fat to muscle with any other exercise. Strength training is the secret!
And when lifting weights you have to lift heavier weights, and continually improve upon that. And the feeling you get from this is a natural high!
Before we pull the curtain up to reveal a Hybrid Bootcamp girl’s huge and amazing feat, let’s quickly overview fitness and health and what it means to be fit.
A fit body is one that is fed good food, has a very strong heart, and is strong.
Cardiovascular training, if done with variances in intensity will get you a strong heart.
Good food choices will help you to feel and look better while minimizing the risk of disease
But here’s where most women don’t FEEL confident. They lack strength, and strength can empower you, give you goals to strive for and more importantly, keep you from aging and rotting away (we all begin to atrophy around the age o 25 and only weight training can slow that down!)
And when you add weight training into your life, your mind changes. You have a challenge each day at the gym yet you also have a friend on those days that seem to test your courage.
AND NOTHING (BESIDES POSITIVE THINKING) CAN CHANGE BRAIN CHEMISTRY FOR THE BETTER THAN WEIGHTS AND HIGH INTENSITY CARDIO!
OH…EXCEPT FOR THE FEEL YOU HAVE IN YOUR MIND AND UNDER THE SKIN, FROM DOING IT!
