You got to see how this greek yogurt recipe will slim your waist, fast!
If you could take 3 ingredients from your home, mix them together and the end result is a super healthy weight loss and post exercise, or even super breakfast, would you do it?
How about if it only took less than 90 seconds to make?
One of my clients had repeatedly told me to try greek yogurt and while sometimes I am slow to act, I did enjoy it once I finally got around to buying it, and was excited to see how much protein it had.
And while I visit my family in San Diego, I happened to try plain greek yogurt, which I was not completely a fan of.
You see, I have a sweet tooth and if I were to act on its impulsions I would be eating a ton of refined sugar while my body slowly expands and my brain and mental acuity begins a sluggish decline.
So, how do you make a sweet tasting natural treat?
As many of you know, I do not eat wheat, unless there’s cake in front of me and no handcuffs to stop me from having some.
So, when I try to think of recipes that are easy and fast to eat, I make sure they are wheat less and as healthy as possible.
And just having stumbled across some tasty greek yogurt, I thought I’d mix and match and see what I can come up with.
Truthfully, this recipe has been done over and over again, yet I just added my own choices for the type of ingredients.
So here it is:
Step 1: Take a cup plain greek yogurt and place it in a bowl.
Step 2: Add Pumpkin flax cereal (1/2 cup) and mix it in.
Step 3: Add a chopped organic banana and voila!
You now have 18 grams of protein turned 28 grams and a very healthy weight loss snack, or meal, dependent on level of activity.
Why is the extra protein so important?
Many women lack the appropriate amounts of protein to stay healthy and strong. Protein is key for many functions and if you exercise it is very important for tissue repair, By that I mean that if you exercise, you will break down your muscle tissue and when you eat well, your body will repair it (with the amino acids in protein) and you will come back stronger and ready to work out again.
This is important because if you do an exercise program that involves weights, you want to develop muscle to help burn a ton more fat!
If you don’t eat (a great time to eat this snack is right after a workout), then you will not stimulate the full repair process, thereby losing out on a massive amount of fat burning with what was to be your new found muscle development.
Won’t I get big and bulky though?
For some women and men, they can put on muscle mass easily and if given the proper prescription of exercises, they can limit that growth.
And for the rest of the world, muscle does not develop as fast and if you don’t do too many sets, yet the sets you do are done well and with an appropriate amount of weight, you will harden and firm your body like nobody’s business.
This is one of the reasons that over time, you will see the traditional bootcamp model try to shift to a weight training and cardio model to maximize the fat burning potential of the human body!
